Our recent project for the Mayfield Garden Centre is the first asbestos encapsulation using cork reclaimed through HMRC Land Remediation Tax Relief (RoCL).
For the building located in Kelso, Scotland, we used Cork Spray as a thermal weatherproof membrane for asbestos encapsulation. This eco-friendly solution aligns with the government's aim to keep asbestos out of landfills and allowed the client to reclaim the full project cost through HMRC RoCL tax incentives. Not only are they fully compliant and safe from health risks, but the client also now enjoys the added benefits of increased thermal and acoustic insulation.
Completed in September 2023, this project showcases innovative asbestos management while leveraging RoCL benefits.
